With a profound understanding of the intricate impact of trauma on mental health, I employ EMDR as a powerful and evidence-based therapeutic tool. In our sessions, I create a safe and supportive space for clients to explore and process distressing memories, utilizing the transformative power of bilateral stimulation. By facilitating the adaptive processing of traumatic experiences, my goal is to help individuals alleviate the emotional burdens that linger and empower them to move towards a future marked by resilience and well-being. Together, we embark on a journey of healing and transformation, navigating the complexities of trauma with compassion, skill, and a steadfast commitment to your recovery.

Are you tired of being the last one to make your plate after everyone else? Especially when you're the one who did all the work. I see you. I see you Black woman, working twice as hard and pushing through even when you have little left to give. I see you Black woman, carrying the weight of the world on your shoulders. I see you Black woman, always doing your best to be strong for everyone around you. My question for you is – who’s being strong for you?

There is a lack of understanding that while we may be “strong,” we are better when we feel heard, supported, and validated with our feelings and experiences. As a counselor, I provide a warm space where my clients can feel safe uncovering their truths, healing from their pain, and working toward authenticity. Learning how to be our genuine and most authentic selves, especially in a world that often sends us messages that we are not enough, can create a fulfilling and meaningful life for ourselves and those around us.

I will help you unpack your childhood experiences to explore how they may have shaped who you’ve come to be today. More often than not, people do not recognize the ways unresolved trauma and childhood experiences manifest. I aim to work alongside you in a collaborative effort to bridge the gap between who you currently are and who you hope to be to foster a more harmonious and ideal version of yourself.

I enjoy helping my clients create balance and integrate holistic wellness into their lives. I empower them in “making their plates before they start to serve others.” Far too often, my clients come to be the last thing on their to-do list.

Through our work together, you will learn the importance of prioritizing your needs, desires, and wants so that you live the life you deserve – all while creating a healthier and more loving relationship with yourself.
